Level rocker Ø76mm

The KARI M1 series is a range of compact and reliable level switches from Finnish Kari-Finn Oy, designed to control pumps, motors and solenoid valves as well as to provide alarms at specific liquid levels. These float switches are approved for use in non-combustible liquids up to 250 V, according to tests performed by SGS FIMKO Oy (Finnish Electrical Safety Authority).

Models and features

The M1 series includes three models.

• M1C: Switch for switching between two circuits.
• M1H: High liquid level alarm.
• M1L: Low liquid level alarm.

Installation and adjustment

The float is mounted by hanging freely from its cable. The alarm level is adjusted by changing the hanging height of the float. To ensure correct operation, the following should be considered.

• Use cable weights if necessary, especially in high viscosity liquids.
• Avoid jamming or restricting the movement of the float.
• Ensure that the junction box is dry; if this is not possible, protect the cable ends with e.g. protective grease or use an IP68 rated junction box.
• When testing without liquid, place the float with the "UP" marking facing upwards for correct orientation.
